Absolutely agree with you, but this is not only related to Flutter projects. You should check what's happening, how well maintaining is going even for the 3th party libraries that are made for native development.

Flutter is pretty new platform, and external libraries can be pain, but in that case you always can write your own plugin/dart.

We now have around 5-6 own plugins that are responsible for our main features. So if you have 5-6 projects in flutter, you can use those plugins always without dependency to some 3th party ppl.

Of course, you don't need to do this, include everything in project, without looking at their code, but after 1-2 year, project will not have flexibility.
